Karyn McDonald, Director
Since 2005 I’ve worked as a specialist HR & recruitment practitioner in Auckland, Wellington, London and Dublin. As a ‘career contractor’ for much of this time I’ve established experience in finance, government, insurance, law, property, recruitment, accounting, engineering, energy, manufacturing, automotive and medical.
My generalist expertise spans recruitment, selection, induction, employee relations, policy development, change and restructure, performance management, manager coaching, learning and development, through to exiting employees and everything in between. I’ve also led teams of my own so have first-hand knowledge and understanding of managing people.
With skills in project management, strategic and operational delivery, and process efficiency I have an interest in employment legislation and an ambition to support businesses succeed through their people.
I hold a Bachelor of Business Studies with a double major in Human Resource Management & Communication Management from Massey University, Wellington, graduating as a Scholar (ranked in the top 5% of the business school throughout NZ).
on a personal note
Having lived in Auckland since 2012 I was born and bred in New Plymouth, and then studied and worked for 10 years in Wellington. I lived abroad for 3 years in London, Dublin, Cork and Cyprus which is where my love for travel flourished. Out of work I love all things netball - but also sports generally - and enjoy attending live games.
Anna Goodhue, Senior Consultant
I’m a savvy and driven human resources professional with a genuine desire to work with businesses and provide valuable and practical advice in the HR space.
Through my exposure to a range of industries (encompassing professional services, travel, engineering, hospitality and fitness) I certainly appreciate that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to HR practices.
I offer expertise in many areas including: coaching, change management, employment relations, policy and procedure development, employee engagement, and recruitment.
I hold a Bachelor Degree in Social Work (Honours), and a Masters Degree in Business Studies (Management) from Massey University.
on a personal note
I’ve mainly worked in Auckland, and have also spent time living in Hamilton as well as Melbourne. I have a big interest in natural health and nutrition, along with interior design.
Keeping our knowledge current is important and we do this through attending employment law seminars, reading employment articles and cases, and maintaining a network with other HR professionals.
