professional experience

My career in human resources began in the late 90s specialising in recruitment before quickly moving into generalist human resource work. Over the last 20 years in the profession I have worked in New Zealand and abroad for organisations of all sizes, spanning the retail, education, automotive, wholesale distribution, investment and retail banking sectors.

Prior to joining HR associate I held a number of HR leadership positions. I have a depth of knowledge across many HR disciplines, but am particularly experienced in employment relations, change management, performance management, employee engagement, culture building, and reward and recognition. I have a reputation for being an engaging and pragmatic operator, offering companies people solutions that truly fit them and their business environments and ultimately enable them to improve their performance. I am passionate about helping businesses and their people get the most out of each other!

education

I have a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Canterbury and in 2014 had the privilege of attending a program for Human Resource leaders with the renowned Institute for Strategic Leadership.

on a personal note

Prior to starting a family I lived, worked and travelled extensively around New Zealand and the world and loved the experiences that came my way. My husband, daughter and step-son are the light of my life and we try to spend as much time as possible exploring new places, experiencing new thing and enjoying friends, family and food! If there were more days in the week I’d happily fill them up with more camping, boating, skiing, golfing and mountain biking.
